About this experience
Get ready for an intense program, after which you will definitely be able to say that you have seen Egypt. The most famous pyramids are in Giza. We will visit there, admire the burial place of Khufu and the Great Sphinx, but we will not limit ourselves to them. Ahead is the oldest necropolis in Saqqara with the first pyramid in history. And the Dahshur necropolis with two not quite ordinary pyramids.
What to expect
Pyramids in Giza
Let's start with the main - the greatest funerary structure in the world and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the World that has survived. From Khufu's pyramid. You will touch one of the main mysteries of the Ancient world, hear myths and facts about the legendary structures. And then you will see the guardian of the whole cemetery - the Great Sphinx, near which we will talk about the ancient monumental sculpture on Earth, which has come down to us, and understand the symbolism of the mystical creature.
Saqqara
In this village near Cairo, there is the oldest necropolis of the Ancient kingdom capital Memphis. You will see the first pyramid in history, built 4700 years ago. It is also considered the oldest stone building in the world.
Dahshur
In another necropolis, Dahshur, you will be amazed by the Bent and Red pyramids, as well as the pyramid of Khufu's mother. There is also another unusual structure made of clay. We will also go inside all these constructions.
The excursion program can be changed according to your desire. Our tours do not include mandatory visits to shops.
Organizational details
- We will pick you up from any hotel in Hurghada and bring you back after the excursion
- Departure - at 02:00 in the night. The journey will take 6-7 hours. You will return around 23:00.
- In the morning we will make a sanitary stop, there will be a cafe where you can have breakfast (or you can take a dry ration from the hotel, it is given for free instead of breakfast). There will also be a lunch stop - €10/person without drinks.
- The excursion will be conducted by me or another guide from our team
Transport
- For a group of up to 3 people, the excursion is held in a comfortable sedan car (included in the price)
- For a larger group (up to 8) - in a minibus equipped with air conditioning and everything you need (extra charge €40)
- Transfer from Makadi, Safaga, Sahel, and Hashish areas is paid additionally - €20
