I invite you to a journey that has if not everything, then a lot - stunning nature, ancient history, Turkish cuisine, and spa. You will reach Dalyan from Fethiye, board a boat, and the adventure will begin! You will see the cliffside royal tombs and the beach chosen by the turtle for nesting. Swim in the sea, have lunch in a restaurant overlooking the river, and relax in a mud bath.
What to expect
With a breeze in the car, you will reach Dalyan from Fethiye, which is called the Turkish Venice because of its water mazes. On the boat, where you will be offered juices and delicacies, you will embark on a journey:
- Explore ancient cliffside tombs. I will tell you why the largest tomb of a Lycian king looks unfinished, and his wife's tomb has survived worse than all.
- Visit a fish farm and see live crabs in pools. Optionally, buy ready-made products - blue crab, dried mullet roe, and other delicacies.
- Through the river mazes, you will reach Iztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach. Swim in the clear waters and see the nests of the disappearing species of turtles. And then go crab hunting.
- Optionally, have lunch at a restaurant on the riverbank. Choose from fish or chicken dishes, side dishes, salads.
- And then - Turkish spa: mud baths and a thermal spring that will give you a boost of energy. You will learn which goddess, according to legends, bathed in such a spring.
