About this experience
The legendary mountain range occupies more than half of Kyrgyzstan's territory. To visit our region and not go to the mountains is almost a crime. I invite you to an inspiring trip to one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We will visit a nature reserve park and a high-mountain gorge, walk on a suspension bridge, and try local dishes.
What to expect
Ala-Archa Park. Located on the northern slope of the Ala-Too range to the Ala-Archa Gorge at elevations of up to 4800 meters above sea level. Here you can take a walk on the trails, enjoying nature and tranquility.
Chunkurchak Gorge. This is the closest high-mountain gorge to Bishkek which stretches for almost 30 kilometers. In Kyrgyz, 'chunkurchak' translates as 'the hollow'.
Ethno-complex 'Supara'. It will welcome you with a variety of landscapes—fantasy valley and mysterious peaks of mighty mountains on the horizon, alpine meadows and forest strips with birches, pines, and firs, playful waters of a mountain gurgling river. Here you will taste the national cuisine and touch the life and culture of the Kyrgyz people.
'Heavenly Bridge'. Make sure to walk on it to experience the unforgettable feeling of being 'between heaven and earth'.
You will not only enjoy the nature of our picturesque land but also learn many interesting things. I will tell you:
- how Kyrgyzstan's culture was shaped under the strong influence of nomadic life,
- how Russia, Persia, and Turkey have influenced it,
- where the nomads lived and what clothes they wore,
- what traditions the Kyrgyz people follow.
