Autumn in the Tien Shan mountains is an explosion of colors before the deep winter sleep. Do not miss the opportunity to witness this wonder! Touch it, feel its scent, and capture the fantastic dance of leaves in the cool rays of the low autumn sun. A trip through the famous gorges of Issyk-Kul will charge you with energy and power emanating from every rock, tree, and inch of land.
What to Expect
- Semenovskoye Gorge (Kyrchyn). Just 40 minutes' drive from Cholpon-Ata, and we will admire the mountain river Kichi Ak-Suu in one of the most beautiful gorges. This is where the world nomad games take place.
- After a good walk, we will cross the pass at an altitude of 3924 meters above sea level. Conquering it is only possible for off-road vehicles and only in dry weather. The road is challenging, it may even seem scary to you. But it is the difficulty of access roads that helps maintain the pristine purity of these places.
- Holy Lake will greet us with unusual sights: turquoise water, and underneath it - fir trees covered with algae, among which mountain trout play. We will walk along the shore, see how a large mountain river disappears into the ground, and then have a picnic.
- Grigoryevskoye Gorge. Here you will see huge, impregnable, but insanely beautiful stone boulders in their shape, mountain slopes, and the turbulent mountain river Chon Ak-Suu. Admiring them, we will try to understand how nature managed to create such amazing contrasts.
Organizational Details
- If the weather turns bad and we cannot drive to the Holy Lake, we will walk some distance on foot. In this case, in the evening after the end of the tour, we will visit the hot springs as a compensation for the expended energy.
- You will need to bring food for the picnic, but if we come across a yurt in the mountains, then for an additional fee, we will ask for lunch and try the local cuisine.
