About this experience
I invite you to San Sadurni d'Anoia - a tiny town in the Penedes region! This is where the history of Spanish sparkling wines began and where the oldest chocolate on the Iberian Peninsula is produced. You will visit a winery and a chocolate factory - and learn how cava and desserts are made here. And you will also find out why the symbol of San Sadurni is a harmful insect.
What to expect
- You will visit the first winery in Spain. Descend into its cellars, learn the technology of cava production and taste the best samples.
- Then you will walk around the town, where there are more than 80 wineries for every 12,000 inhabitants. Optionally, you can have lunch at a Catalan cuisine restaurant.
- After the walk - a tour of a chocolate factory. You will learn how the legendary Catalan sweets are created.
- Throughout the day, I will tell you why a harmful insect became the symbol of San Sadurni and what sparkling wine, bread toasts, and beef steak have in common. And I will also reveal the secret of how to increase your capital by doing good to your competitor.
