About this experience
Who are the Wright brothers? Why does a bird need a tail? What happened to Leonardo da Vinci's flying machine drawings? What is the mystery of the bumblebee that 'according to the laws of physics cannot fly, but doesn't know it and flies anyway'? This interactive tour will not leave anyone indifferent, as everyone has dreamed of wings at least once. We will talk about airplanes, determined engineers, and brave pilots, see wartime fighters and the legendary Boeing 747 in cross-section.
What to Expect
Buckle up, we're taking off!
The halls of aviation history will take us back to the previous century. You will hear about the inventors brothers of the first airplane and see an exact replica of the 'Flyer-1', and I will help you understand how huge metal constructions rise into the air and float in the sky. We will see a full-scale aircraft that crossed the Atlantic Sea earlier than others and the fighters 'Spitfire' and 'Hurricane' that glorified Britain in battles. We will talk about the first woman who made a solo flight from Britain to Australia, and what it meant for her. Her aircraft 'Gipsy Moth' is part of the museum's collection, and we will have a chance to examine it from all sides! Looking at models of aircraft from different years, we will trace the evolution of aviation and figure out why an airplane is now the most reliable mode of transportation in the world.
