Exploring the surroundings of Tbilisi, Imereti and the gems of the 'southern gates' of Georgia
About this experience
You will explore the streets of Tbilisi, taste wine in the Mtskheta wine cellar, and head south to the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. This land is rich in history: the future queen Tamara grew up in the cave town of Vardzia, Borjomi still produces mineral water, and Akhaltsikhe remembers its Turkish rulers. Alpine meadows of Paravani, striking Prometheus Caves, and unique Georgian monasteries await you - in one of them, nuns make cheese, which is sold in trendy shops in Tbilisi.
Organizational details
Due to weather conditions in March, April, and October, the itinerary for the fourth day of the tour may look as follows: Joseph Stalin Museum in Gori - Vardzia Cave Town - Akhaltsikhe.
