About this experience
The Irish are a cheerful and hospitable people, and their national character is perfectly reflected in the Temple Bar district, where we will venture for an initial introduction to Dublin. Our walk will cover the city's history, Celtic churches and medieval castles, the coziest shops and authentic pubs, as well as interesting events and historical figures associated with Temple Bar. As a result, you will learn to navigate the center of Dublin, discover its best spots, and immerse yourself in the spirit of Ireland!
What to expect
Main sights of Dublin and its history
Explore the alleys of the vibrant and colorful Temple Bar - the district to visit first in Dublin! We will discuss the Viking era, admire the atmospheric cathedrals and churches, and discover the islets of Celtic architecture. You will delve into the city's history and see its most significant buildings: the picturesque Ha'penny Bridge over the River Liffey, the main university of Ireland Trinity College, the National Library referenced in Joyce's 'Ulysses', the city hall, Dublin Castle, and much more!
Navigating Dublin's pubs
Along the way, I will recommend souvenir shops, highlight must-see attractions in Dublin, and show you the most remarkable pubs to enjoy the best beer. By the end of our walk, you will know where to warm up and wait out the weather with a pint of Guinness accompanied by Irish folk songs, and where to have a great time or watch a rugby match.
