About this experience
Our excursion is perfect for getting acquainted with Prague: by bus you will drive through the old quarters and embankments - and at the same time you won't get tired at all. The energy saved will be useful for a walk through Prague Castle and the Old Town, where the history of the Czech capital will unfold before you.
What to expect
City tour
The excursion will start at Wenceslas Square. You will get acquainted with the central part of the New Town and learn about the personality of Saint Wenceslas - one of the most revered rulers of Prague. Afterwards, the bus will slowly take you through the areas that are not easy to cover on foot. You will see:
- Charles Square - the largest in Europe, which will tell you about the era of King Charles IV
- National Theatre, rebuilt twice with the money of the townspeople
- Parizska Street with its unique atmosphere
- Dancing House - you will learn what was here before and what this building symbolizes.
We will drive through the Old Town and along the embankments, enjoying the view of the Vltava River, and then climb to Prague Castle.
Royal complex
Prague Castle has been the residence of city rulers since the 9th century. You will walk through the first and second courtyards, visit St. Vitus Cathedral, exit to St. George's Basilica along the Royal Route, see the old vineyard and magnificent gardens. The guide will reveal the secrets of this place, explain why the 'Ball Game House' was needed, and tell the sad story of the Summer Palace.
Old Town
Crossing Charles Bridge, you will reach the Josefov quarter, where you will see the oldest synagogue in Europe and find out why Hitler ordered to preserve it. You will pass by a cemetery where the dead are buried in 12 layers. And on the Old Town Square, you will admire the Astronomical Clock, where every hour 12 apostles begin their leisurely walk, hear stories about Jan Hus, about the Church of Our Lady before Týn, and St. Nicholas Church.
