About this experience
Pedaling through this city makes it easy to feel like a local. In the completely flat Rimini, the bicycle is the most common and beloved means of transportation. Proof of this is grandmothers on bikes with groceries or little dogs in baskets, parents with kids on their saddles, ladies in heels and men in suits rushing to work on two wheels. Therefore, to better understand the people of Rimini and envision yourself as one of them, you need to blend in with the locals and hop on a bike!
What to Expect
Like the locals, we will set off on a bike ride to soak up the centuries-old history of Rimini, a city founded by ancient Romans.
Our journey begins at the promenade and the Grand Hotel. The port canal will lead us to the heart of the historic center. The imposing structure of the Malatesta Temple, the ancient Roman forum where Julius Caesar delivered a fiery speech after crossing the Rubicon, the oldest Augustus' Triumphal Arch. From the Arch through the streets and squares, we will head towards the Tiberius Bridge, skillfully crafted by ancient Roman slaves. We will explore not only the streets and squares of the city linked to the brightest events in history but also the favorite spots of the director Fellini, who grew up here. We will try to see the city through the eyes of its famous resident and seek prototypes of his movie characters among the passersby.
I myself love moving around the city on a bike; I know every corner here. I will tell you about the
