The history of Rome is not just the history of a single city, it is much more - about civilization, world culture, and human heritage. You will hear the legend of the cruel emperor Nero, stories about the assassination of Julius Caesar, the secret burial of apostle Peter, and what the legendary Capitoline Hill remembers. You will see with your own eyes the 'Bermuda Triangle' on the scale of Rome - a place where money and women mysteriously disappear, the historic cafe 'Greco' visited by famous compatriots. Magical Architecture of Rome
Starting first at Piazza del Popolo, we will climb up the Napoleon's Way, and descend via the Spanish Steps, and from here you will begin to see the city through the eyes of the descendants of great architects and sculptors. From the Spanish Steps, you will proceed to the Trevi Fountain and witness the elegant 'baroque show'. Winding medieval streets will lead you to Piazza Venezia, and from there you will enter the Rome that remembers ancient times - to the Capitoline Hill and the Pantheon. We will touch upon the Christian history of the Eternal City, looking at the beautiful St. Peter's Square and the Vatican, admire Bernini's fountain at Piazza Navona, and end the walk at the majestic Colosseum, where gladiators fought. During the tour, you will truly feel connected to the beauties of the Eternal City.
