About this experience
In Delhi, representatives of several faiths live - each with its own characteristics and unique history. In one day, you will visit seven temples - Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, and others. You will learn how different confessions coexist with each other, and see the difference in the architectural structures of different religions.
What to expect
- Jama Masjid Mosque - the largest in India. We will tell you when, by whom, and how it was built.
- Lakshmi Narayan Temple - a traditional Indian temple dedicated to the gods Lakshmi and Narayan. You will learn why Hindu gods have multiple arms and the significance of the dot on believers' foreheads.
- Lotus Temple, associated with the youngest religion in the world - Bahá'í Faith
- Buddha Temple - a small Buddhist temple built in 1939
- Sacred Heart Cathedral - a Christian temple built by the English in the 20th century. It is an example of India's religious tolerance.
- Gurudwara Bangla Sahib - a Sikh temple. You will learn how this religion originated and why Sikhs carry daggers with them.
