About this experience
Saudi Arabia is one of the most mysterious countries in the Persian Gulf, which until recently could only be visited by Muslim pilgrims. Today it has opened its borders to travelers - and we will gladly be your guides through it! We will show you shining skyscrapers, the Persian Gulf, oil fields, and modern museums. We will tell you about local traditions, religious laws, and new development vectors.
What to expect
Vibrant and colorful Saudi Arabia
We will embark on a journey through the east of the country, visit two cities - Dammam and Al-Khobar - and see their main attractions. The excursion program includes:
- King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture - a giant modern space housing exhibition halls, libraries, and even a theater. We will visit several museums where you will become acquainted with works of artists, antiques, and traditions of the Islamic world. You will also learn about who inhabited the coastal waters of present-day Saudi Arabia millions of years ago, what the locals practiced, and how they survived in tropical climate conditions.
- Oil Museum - we will visit a museum dedicated to one of the world's largest oil companies, Saudi Aramco. You will understand the types of energy and ways of its utilization. Feel the vibration coming from the earth while drilling an oil well and test your engineering skills during an interactive game. Discover how much 'black gold' oil giants extract daily, how fuel is purified, and how the country's residents used oil before the advent of technologies. And also independently start the drill bit mechanism!
- Traditional lunch at a picturesque café - we will visit one of the city's most popular spots and taste traditional Arabic dishes in a colorful atmosphere.
- Walk along the Corniche waterfront - you will stroll along the Persian Gulf with its emerald waters, enjoying the sun and fresh air. Along the way, you will see the gleaming Al-Jawzaa Al-Kahtanik Mosque and the Khobar Water Tower.
