About this experience
Welcome to the capital of a small but highly progressive kingdom! I will tell you what Bahrain was not so long ago and what it represents now. With your own eyes, you will see how harmoniously the traditions of the East are woven into the 21st century. And how the pace and luxury of modern Manama merge with the Arab atmosphere and the measured way of life on the streets of the Old City.
What to Expect
- Al-Fatih Mosque - one of the largest in the world. Its majestic architecture and special atmosphere will not leave you indifferent. I will tell you what the people of Bahrain believe in.
- Historical district of Muharraq, where you can enjoy the authentic atmosphere of ancient East: stroll through narrow alleys, admire traditional Arab houses, and visit cozy shops of merchants.
- Bahrain Bay - the modern heart of the capital and the best place to discuss the rapid development of the country. Here are the most recognizable skyscrapers, expensive shops, and convenient promenade along the central waterfront.
- Arab Market as an ancient trade route still unites travelers, businessmen, and diplomats. You will see a huge range of goods - from aromatic spices to Eastern pottery and luxurious fabrics. Here you can relax a bit and have lunch in an authentic cafe.
- Karting (optional). An adrenaline adventure on a professional karting track - one of the best in the world. A symbolic way to feel the speed at which the Kingdom of Bahrain and all its inhabitants are changing.
Karting can be replaced with a visit to the unique Tree of Life, growing in the desert contrary to all laws of nature, or Qal'at al-Bahrain Fort - an ancient defensive fortress.
Organizational Details
- A comfortable Toyota Yaris car and a careful driver are at your service. Bottled drinking water is provided for the entire day of the tour.
- In the mosque, it is customary to cover shoulders, chest, knees. Women will be given an abaya (traditional dress to be worn over clothing) and a scarf at the entrance - this is free. Also, note that shoes are not worn in the mosque.
- For karting, be sure to bring closed-toe shoes and a spare t-shirt. A briefing in Russian will be conducted before the race. Driving experience with a kart is not important.
- To participate in a race among the adult group, children from 13 years old are allowed. Children from 7 to 12 years old can participate in a children's race - it is held separately (the child's height should be at least 125 cm).
