What to expect
The heroic story of Arkadi Monastery
You will visit one of the most famous monasteries in Greece, which has gained worldwide fame and was proclaimed a symbol of self-sacrifice during the Cretan revolution against Turkish rule. Here you will enjoy the landscapes of the beautiful Arkadi Gorge, learn about the monastery's complex history, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of monastic life. We will visit the monks' dining room and the beautiful Orthodox church of the Transfiguration, explore the church museum with priceless icons from the 16th-17th centuries, and much more.
Margaritos Village: Crafty Crete
From the monastery, we will head to the picturesque pottery village of Margaritos. Here you will meet a talented master who will reveal the secrets of Minoan potters to you. You will admire the master's excellent works, try to understand the nuances and details of the author's pieces, and then relax and have a snack at a local tavern.
