About this experience
Are you ready to fall in love with South Africa? Join us as we drive along the edge of the continent to enjoy the amazing African nature, meet the locals, and visit the legendary cape that European sailors struggled to tame for a long time. You will find yourself at the very southwestern tip of Africa, observe the lives of lazy seals and gentleman penguins, and listen to the symphony of two oceans.
What to Expect
Exploring Cape Town
I will meet you at the hotel and we will head to the neighborhoods along the Atlantic coast. This area is known as the "millionaires' mile" due to the high property prices. I will tell you about the city and the local way of life. Along the way, we will stop at a lookout point to admire the picturesque view of the "12 Apostles" – I will explain what this is all about. Our journey will then continue along the atmospheric coast of South Africa. Green mountains, the ocean, and endless beaches: it's impossible not to fall in love with its beauty.
Seal Island and Penguin Colony
Hout Bay Harbor is a place with character, home to authentic cafes, a souvenir market, and a yacht club. From here, we will take a boat to visit the colony of Cape fur seals (over 5000 individuals). You will be able to see these furry lazybones up close. After lunch, we will head to Boulders Beach, where we will observe the concentrated life of the Jackass penguins. The colony lives in natural conditions: the "residents" build nests on the sand and fish for food.
Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point
You will experience one of the most beautiful roads in the world, carved into the cliffs at a height of 500 meters – Chapman's Peak Drive. We will make a stop so you can catch your breath and enjoy the atmosphere around you. And here is the essence of our journey: the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. As we walk along the green thickets, we will find ourselves at the very top. We will enjoy a view of two oceans, and I will tell you which one is saltier :) Our next stop is Cape Point, often confused with the Cape of Good Hope. You will learn how that came to be.
On the way, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant serving fresh seafood. After the tour, we will return to the city to your place of accommodation.
