Today, the multifaceted Batumi has also become the cycling capital of Georgia: bike paths are equipped here and there is a city bike rental service. On bikes, you will set off to explore the stories of old and new Batumi: you will ride through the Park of Wonders, Batumi Boulevard, Europe Square, and other iconic places. In just 3 hours of active bike tour, you will understand Batumi and appreciate the diversity of cultural and religious landmarks.
What to Expect
Ride through the past and present
Biking will allow you to cover the most interesting sights of old and modern Batumi, learn the stories of cultural and religious monuments, and connect the times. You will visit the following places:
- Park of Wonders, where you will meet the famous Ali and Nino, hear about the secrets of the lighthouse, see the proud monument dedicated to one of the oldest alphabets in the world, and learn about perhaps the most unconventional attraction of Batumi - the Chacha Tower fountain.
- Batumi Boulevard: the boulevard is the heart of the city, and its heart is the columns by architect Kirakosyan, a symbolic entrance to the beach. Here you will walk past the unusual building of the Summer Theater and the newlyweds alley, and learn about the person who influenced the appearance of Batumi.
- Europe Square, where you will pass by the old house where Chekhov and Gorky stayed. You will see the monument of the ancient Greek legend about the Argonauts, check the time on the astronomical clock, pass by the local Neptune, the magnificent Drama Theater, St. Barbara's Church, and the Rothschild House.
- Old Park, where the cypress of Emperor Alexander III still grows today. Here, not far away, lived Esenin, while Nurigeli and Shagane strolled by the lake.
- New Boulevard with new buildings of unusual shapes, where you can optionally visit one of the Georgian cuisine establishments. After a rest, you will make a half-hour bike run back to the starting point of the tour.

Arkadiy is a wonderful storyteller, with deep knowledge of the city's history and the region as a whole. He answered all our questions. The route was comfortable, with 1 adult and 1 child (11 years old). Highly recommend! P.S.: One minor issue - the child's bike was a bit small and not in great tech...
