About this experience
From Romans to the Middle Ages and from modernity to the 21st century - in 3 hours! With me, you will immerse yourself in the past and present of the Catalan capital, understand what it breathes: ride through the old Born district and Gothic streets, through undiscovered areas with the best beaches and creative spaces for locals.
What to expect
Legends and atmosphere of medieval streets
The bike ride will logically start from an earlier period in Barcelona's 'biography'. Exploring the Born district and Gothic streets with a breeze, you will capture the spirit of the Middle Ages: stand under the arches of the Santa Maria del Mar church and see how craftsmen of the 21st century live in the exteriors of the distant past. For example, you can visit a boutique where leather goods are sold. At stops, I will tell you the most interesting facts and legends of the Old Town.
Modern districts and life in Barcelona style
Next, we will visit the port area of Barceloneta, a district with the best fish restaurants along the coast, and admire the sea at two beaches. From there, we will head to the locals' favorite spot, San Marti, untouched by tourists. You will see how former factories are transformed into creative spaces and ride through Diagonal Mar Park almost on the border of Barcelona. Through San Marti, we will talk about who prefers to live here and the daily life of modern Catalans. And we will also pass through a market where you can taste local treats. The tour will end in the picturesque Ciutadella Park.
