About this experience
Dear friends, Jūrmala is beautiful all year round. The resort's life changes dramatically with the arrival of warmth, but even in winter, it's hard to think of a more wonderful place for a leisurely walk in nature! After a walk with me, Jūrmala will seem cozy and familiar to you, as you will get acquainted with the most interesting corners and stories of the city.
What to expect
Sun, sea, white sand, long-lived pine trees, the Dzintari Concert Hall, unique wooden architecture of Jūrmala with lace pediments and mansards, and a walk along Jomas Street with numerous restaurants and souvenir shops - all this awaits you during a light and informative excursion around the resort city.
- You will learn about the history of the sanatorium.
- Take a photo with the 'turtle'.
- Visit the summer complex of Krišjānis Morbergs - one of the largest construction magnates in Latvia in the 19th century.
- Stroll along Jūras Street, where very wealthy residents of Jūrmala built houses.
- You will manage to do much more during our 3.5-hour excursion.
In the late 18th century, wealthy residents of Riga made their way to the sea on horse-drawn carriages, and we will drive there in my car, quickly and comfortably :) For larger groups, a bus transfer is possible.
