About this experience
Riga is beautiful at any time of day and in any season. Don't waste your time during a layover at the airport or waiting for a ferry, embark on an excursion designed specifically for transit passengers. I will meet you at the airport, take you on a city tour, and then drive you back to the airport (this is already included in the price). The excursion is also available at night.
What to expect
- During two hours in Riga, you will see the city from different perspectives and learn about its history. I will help you feel the unique atmosphere that cinematographers loved. After all, only here can you see two houses side by side, one located in Bern and the other in London.
- You will climb the tower of St. Peter's Church, stroll through narrow winding streets, admire the Three Brothers - three medieval houses - and touch the old fortress walls, still preserved at the Ekaba barracks.
- You will take photos on the narrowest street in the Old Town and at the Swedish Gates, cut, according to legend, in the 17th century by a wealthy merchant who did not want to pay exorbitant duties for importing goods into the city.
- We will have coffee at one of the ancient pharmacies, and I will show you the basement where, according to legend, the recipe for black Riga balsam was invented.
- If time and weather permit, you can visit Jurmala (for an additional fee).
