Embark on a journey to the past: admire the majestic pyramids, delve into the world of pharaohs and their queens, explore ancient sculptures and temples. Learn about the differences between ancient necropolises, the various shapes of pyramids, the mummification process, and other interesting facts.
What to Expect
Great Pyramids and More
You will visit three main historical zones of Ancient Egypt including:
- Memphis - stroll through the ruins of the first capital of unified Egypt on the western bank of the Nile. Learn about its history and the pharaoh Menes. Enjoy the palm groves, admire the huge statue of Ramesses II, and see what remains of the Ptah temple.
- Saqqara - a giant ancient necropolis consisting of numerous monuments. I will show you the step pyramid of Djoser, and the Book of the Dead texts on the walls of Unas pyramid. I will share the secrets and stories related to them.
- Giza - the country's famous landmark. Here you will see the Great Sphinx and the pyramids from the postcards. I will tell you about the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, for whom they were built.
