About this experience
The Metropolitan is America's largest museum, overflowing with world-renowned masterpieces. I invite you to focus on the incredibly interesting exhibition of American art: to trace its development, get acquainted with significant personalities and schools. And through the prism of painting, sculpture, and design, take a look at the city's history.
What to Expect
New York & Art
We will walk the path from colonial America to the middle of the turbulent twentieth century. We will see the works of American artists, starting with the stunning diorama for which a separate room is allocated in the Metropolitan. You will visit galleries dedicated to different directions, schools, and periods of American art. I will tell you about its formation and the influence European activities had on it. And I will spice up the story with interesting tales of sculptors' and architects' destinies: love, tragedies, murder—and, of course, the everyday, constantly boiling life of New York.
Focus on Details
You will see the museum's largest painting and try to find five historical mistakes made by the author. I will show scandalously famous sculpture and painting, as well as the originals of the most copied images. Amazing Tiffany lamps and stained glass, interiors and furniture of great designers and architects, building facades, and much more—the exhibits of this exhibition will amaze you more than once.
Organizational Details
Tickets to the museum are purchased separately (up to $25 per person). I will be happy to help you purchase them—write me a personal message.
