About this experience
Punta del Este is where luxury and nature come together. You will see colonial houses and luxurious hotels, fishing boats and huge yachts, a romantic lighthouse and avant-garde sculptures. Visit modern art museums and enjoy fantastic landscapes from the southernmost point of the country!
What to expect
Lighthouse, ancient houses, and picturesque views
Along the central street of the Gorlero peninsula, you will reach the seaport, where you will see yachts and sea lions waiting for their next portion of fresh fish. In the Old Town, you will admire colonial houses and the active XIX century lighthouse. Then, descend to the southernmost point of the country, where the Rio de la Plata River merges with the Atlantic Ocean, and walk along the shore to the famous Hand sculpture.
Bohemian La Barra and contemporary art
The unusual wave-like bridge will take us to another resort town - La Barra, famous for its bohemian atmosphere. On the way back to Punta del Este, I will show you a hotel in the form of a water tower and prestigious residential areas. Additionally, you will visit the Ralli Museum with works by Salvador Dali and contemporary Latin artists, as well as the Casa Pueblo house-museum known for its whimsical architectural solutions.
