About this experience
My author's route for those who want not only to get acquainted with Amsterdam, but also to capture it in original photos. You will discover places hidden from the fleeting glances of ordinary tourists, learn how the Dutch recognized witches in the Middle Ages, and rediscover Amsterdam's landmarks from Nieuwmarkt to Dam Square.
What to expect
Best angles of Amsterdam
During the walk, you will be able to take dozens of excellent photos that you will definitely want to share on social networks. From the main city train station, we will set out in search of non-trivial decors of Amsterdam and its most photogenic locations. We will cover the entire center of the old city with its canals, cobblestone bridges, countless bicycles, and rows of narrow houses. We will stroll in the vicinity of Nieuwmarkt and Rembrandt squares, meet the Anne Frank House on the way, and conclude the photo promenade in the heart of Amsterdam, at Dam Square. Along the way, we will stop to capture the city's secret corners and its landmarks, which will appear before you from a completely new angle.
The most interesting about the Dutch and the Netherlands
Our photo walk will be in the format of a light and informal conversation that will help you better understand the history of Amsterdam, its main symbols, traditions, and the daily life of the Dutch. For example, I will tell you about the medieval quest 'how to detect a witch' and explain why the locals built houses on water. We will also talk about what the Dutch are proud of and ashamed of, and discuss what to be wary of in Amsterdam.
Who is this walk for
For Amsterdam explorers, hunters for interesting and rare shots, as well as those who have only a couple of hours to get to know the city and take a photo set.
