In the eastern part of California, near the border with Nevada, you will discover one of the most severe and at the same time beautiful places in the Western Hemisphere. Colorful mountains, landscapes of sand dunes, and photogenic salt flats will unfold before you. You will learn about the geology and history of this unique reserve. And from a secret viewpoint, you will see Death Valley as if in the palm of your hand.
What to expect
- We will leave Las Vegas early in the morning and head to the reserve
- You will drive along Artists Drive with extraordinary colorful mountains
- You will see the Devil's Golf Course
- You will visit the lowest point in North America (86 meters below sea level) - Badwater Basin covered with salt crystals
- You will admire the sand dunes and the sunset at Zabriskie Point
- And also, visit a secret viewpoint offering an impressive panorama of the entire Death Valley
- We will return to Las Vegas around 19:00
During the journey, I will tell you about the geological formation of the valley, its use in the late 19th - early 20th century, and the origin of its name. I will also explain the nature of the Devil's Golf Course and the salt on the surface of Badwater.
