About this experience
Valencia has long been firmly associated with the City of Arts and Sciences - the architectural complex of Santiago Calatrava. Valencia is also about medieval heritage, vibrant carnival, and paella. I will show you Calatrava's creation and tell you all about it. Take you to a restaurant with authentic paella and to a museum of carnival dolls. Introduce you to the old part of the city and local shops.
What to expect
City of Arts and Sciences
I will tell you how this city within a city was created and what grandiose meanings Calatrava embedded in it. We will definitely visit the Science Museum and the Aquarium. It is interesting for all ages and will leave memories for a lifetime.
Paella
Valencia is the birthplace of paella, so enjoying it should be done here! I always take guests to non-touristy restaurants where you can try authentic paella.
Walk through old Valencia
After lunch, we will walk through the old part of the city, climb the tower of the cathedral. I will show you old shops with local ceramics, for which the Spanish Mediterranean is famous. I will tell you the secrets of the local mentality - do the people of Valencia really speak not in Spanish, but in Valencian.
Museum of carnival dolls Las Fallas
We will visit a place dedicated to the traditional carnival. It takes place in Valencia in March. The holiday is similar to Shrovetide - magnificent dolls and carnival cars are burned. But some of them, the winners of different years and the favorites of the public, end up in the museum.
