Two unforgettable days in the vicinity of Issyk-Kul

Program

First Day

Eagle show, Taigan dogs, and archery. The road from Bishkek to the first location will take at least 4 hours. In the city of Bokonbaevo, on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, you will witness the famous national eagle hunting with eagles and Kyrgyz hunting dog Taigan. Here, you can also try traditional archery.

Lunch. After the show, you will taste dishes of national cuisine in one of the cafes in the city.

Skazka Canyon. After the meal, we will head to a miniature canyon on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. Its appeal lies in the red clay rocks that create images of alien landscapes and easy accessibility.

Jeti-Oguz Valley. Next on the agenda is a specially protected natural monument - the Valley of the Seven Bulls. The mountainous gorge is located at an altitude of 2200 m above sea level. You will see seven unusual rocks and enjoy alpine and subalpine meadows with rich vegetation.

In the evening, after such an eventful day, we will arrive in the city of Karakol, where you will spend the night at the guesthouse 'Altai'.

Second Day

Przhevalsky Memorial Museum. After breakfast, we will visit the museum opened in Karakol in 1957. You will see documents, photographs, and personal belongings of the famous traveler, geographer, and naturalist. Nearby is his grave and monument.

Semenov Gorge. Then we will head to the northern shore of Issyk-Kul and along the way, we will visit one of the main and most beautiful attractions of Kyrgyzstan. The gorge is located in the Kungey Ala-Too mountains. Its length is about 30 km. At the bottom of the gorge flows the beautiful mountain river Ak-Suu with transparent glacial water.

Grigoriev Gorge. Ahead of us is another scenic location that is one of Issyk-Kul's top spots. The sweet scent of pines, beautiful Tian Shan spruces, green mountain slopes, the sound of a mountain river, and high-altitude lakes - all of this awaits you in a journey through the gorge.

Valley of Hot Springs. Finally, you will stop in the city of Cholpon-Ata, where you will have lunch and relax in the healing waters. This will conclude our journey - and we will head back to Bishkek.
