Transfer Journey from Tbilisi to Batumi
About this experience
Many people arrive in Tbilisi and look for the most reasonable way to get to the Black Sea. You can take a plane, a train, a bus, or simply book a transfer. We have included an excursion component in the program to show you the beauty and diversity of our land. You will discover nature, historical sites, and the culture of the regions of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti, Samegrelo, Guria, and Adjara.
This excursion is ideal for people planning to stay on the coast for several days. The duration of the trip does not include a return to Tbilisi. This is a one-way journey.
What to Expect
We have selected the most visited and interesting places in several regions of Georgia for you. Along the way, you will see the diversity of our nature, visit historical and religious sites, hear the legends of the land, and of course, taste the rich variety of national cuisine, including wine.
Kutaisi
You will have an overview of the Old Town, visit the 11th-century Bagrati Cathedral and the 12th-century Gelati Monastery—a symbol of Kutaisi. At the local market, you can buy traditional spices (Svan salt, adjika, mountain saffron, khmeli suneli, and more). We will tell you how to use them in Georgian cuisine.
Prometheus Caves
We will stop at the legendary karst caves. They are 1450 meters long and 700 meters deep. You will enjoy spectacular views of the natural monument and have the opportunity to boat under the cliffs.
Martvili Canyon
The program also includes the beautiful canyon, surrounded by lush subtropical vegetation. You will walk around and also take a boat ride here. Hear about the valuable discovery: traces of early human habitation. And at the Ojaleshi wine cellar, you will taste local wines—red dry or semi-sweet.
