Paris is one of the most mystical cities on earth. So many extraordinary events have taken place in this city. Its streets and houses are full of secrets, legends, and scary stories that we will explore on a walk through the oldest district of the city.
Program
From the Louvre to the City Hall, from the Cathedral of Our Lady of Paris to the New Bridge, ghosts, murders, black magic, astrology, torture, and gruesome executions will haunt us.
- We will start our tour at the Louvre. I will tell you the legend of the red dwarf phantom and the history of St. Bartholomew's Night.
- Then we will stroll through the former central market district, the very womb of Paris described in Zola's novel. The ancient narrow streets hold secrets of the dark pages of the city's history: Catherine de Medici's witchcraft, sites of public executions and pillory, the Cemetery of the Innocents, and the assassination of Henry IV.
- We will conclude our journey on the island of the City, where legends of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Paris, the curse of the last Templars, and the famous prisoners of the Conciergerie prison await us.
