About this experience
This tour is for lovers. For those in love with Rome, in love with each other, in love with life. I want to take you to the most romantic places in the eternal city, to places filled with mystery, making you close your eyes and, upon opening them, enjoy the magnificent views from the hills on which this enchanting city stands.
I will agree a thousand times with those who tell me that Paris, Prague, Barcelona, or New York are the most romantic cities on the planet. I will nod, smiling, and once again with a heart flutter as if for the first time, I will gaze at my beloved city from the height of the Janiculum Hill.
It so happened that I fell in love. Fell in love with this city, its grandeur and narrow cozy streets, its unwavering monolithic nature and the charm of the untouched 'san pietrini' pavements laid down by time.
Program
Our walk will start at Piazza Venezia by the famous Altare della Patria, where the eternal flame burns, a symbol of infinity. After climbing the famous 124 steps, we will ascend to the Capitoline Hill, where an incomparable view will unfold before us. Passing through the church of Santa Maria in Aracoeli, we will find ourselves on the observation deck, from where we can admire the Roman Forum in all its glory.
The 'san pietrini' pavement will lead us to the 'Antico Café Castellino' cafeteria, and from there, after tasting excellent coffee, we will head to the Trevi Fountain, passing by Palazzo Valentini and peeking inside the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, located right across from the famous Palazzo Poli. It is no secret that Italy is famous for its Gelaterias, so there, admiring the cheerful glints and reflections in the waters of the architect Nicola Salvi's creation, we will be able to taste the famous Zabaione ice cream from the masters of their craft, the Del Vecchio brothers, who have kept the secret of its preparation for several generations.
The picturesque narrow streets, preserving the atmosphere of old times, will lead us to the Spanish Steps, a cult place for the residents of Rome and numerous tourists. Sitting on the warm stones heated by the day, we can rest and enjoy the view of the famous boat-shaped fountain, perhaps the second most popular after the Trevi Fountain.
Climbing the steps, we will find ourselves at the Trinità dei Monti church, where, I am sure, continuous sensations and emotions will begin: Pincho awaits us, an observation terrace above the Piazza di Spagna, where colorful domes will appear before us.
