About this experience
The UAE is not only about the hot desert and skyscrapers. In a comfortable car, we will head to the Hajar Mountains, Hatta Valley, and date palm groves. Explore the places where the ancestors of Dubai's current rulers, the Al Maktoum dynasty, lived for centuries. You will breathe fresh air, see a lake of enchanting beauty, visit an ethnographic village, and taste the local honey.
What to expect
Enchanting Hatta
We will go to the most remote corner of the emirate of Dubai, revealing the country in a new light. In just 1 day, you will:
- Enjoy a mountain lake where you can kayak or take a catamaran ride
- Climb a 19th-century watchtower
- Visit an ethnographic village and learn about Bedouin life
- Explore the irrigation of date palm groves using the ancient 'falaj' irrigation system
- Descend into Wadi, the dried-up riverbed of a mountain river
- Taste acacia, oak, or sidr tree honey at the bee farm
And we will also stop at an authentic Arabic restaurant where you can try local or Lebanese cuisine.
