About this experience
Goal: pamper yourself with a vacation in a place resembling a Bounty commercial. Solution: an all-inclusive trip to Saona Island. By the way, one of the Bounty commercials was filmed there: perfect beaches with palm trees, azure sea... You will have time to enjoy all this, swim with masks, see sea stars, fish, locations from the 'Survivor', mangrove thickets, and much more!
What to Expect
On Saona - for relaxation and adventures
It's no secret that such a picturesque place attracts many. But it's so desirable to relax without other people! That's why we will meet as early as possible in the morning (but the start time depends, of course, on your preferences) to sail to the island among the very first and spend a few hours in complete harmony with nature.
This is an all-inclusive excursion: individual transfer; unobtrusive Russian-speaking guide, who will tell you only the most interesting things, answer questions, and take photos of you; beach loungers; lunch and drinks; masks and snorkeling tubes; boat ride. The route can be adapted to your preferences.
Our Program
🔹 We depart from Punta Cana at 6 or 7 in the morning depending on the location of your hotel. You will be picked up by a comfortable minibus and taken to Bayahibe Port. There you will transfer to a motorboat with a canopy that will take you to Saona. The total journey from the hotel to the island will take approximately 2-2.5 hours.
🔹 Saona. On the island, you will have plenty of free time (4-5 hours): swimming, sunbathing, walking, or taking photos - it's up to you. You can find sea stars at the bottom of the Blue Lagoon and see other aquatic inhabitants.
🔹 Active leisure requires a hearty lunch: seafood, meat, chicken, rice, vegetables - all fresh and grilled. Lobsters can be additionally ordered by notifying the guide before the excursion. Drinks include rum, the national cocktail Cuba Libre, cola, juices, water. Piña colada and coconuts are available for an extra charge. And for dessert - fruits and champagne right on the water among the sea stars on a special floating bar.
🔹 On the way back from the island to the port, we will sail to the mangrove thickets. Mangroves are unpretentious plants adapted to salty water. They have become home to different birds: if you're lucky, you will see unusual feathered creatures. We will also pass by locations where 'Survivor' was filmed.
🔹 On the way back to Punta Cana, we will make a stop at a sugarcane plantation, where you will not only see how it is grown but also can chop and taste it.
That's the end of the main program. If desired, we can include a visit to Altos de Chavon - the City of Artists - for an additional $10 per person. It's a cozy recreated 15th-century Spanish village. Here you will find a branch of a design school, a small gallery you can visit for free, an amber museum. But the main thing is the atmosphere of antiquity that you will feel just by walking around this town for an hour.
