About this experience
In the Dominican Republic, from January to March, you can experience the exhilarating 'show' of nature itself! With our help, you will see whales coming to Samana Bay, forever preserving the emotions and photos from the encounter with these beautiful giants. Additionally, you will visit a protected waterfall, enjoy some relaxation on the beach, and marvel at the bright sea stars.
What to Expect
π Guided Tour. The one-way journey with a stop will take 3-4 hours. During this time, you will learn about the Dominican Republic: its history, structure, nature, and how the locals live. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about this Caribbean country.
πΏ Salto El LimΓ³n Waterfall. In the reserve, you will admire the cascade and witness a small show by the locals: they jump into the waterfall from a height of 14 meters and perform tricks.
π Whale Watching. A boat or catamaran will cruise the waters of Samana Bay. It's the Atlantic, so be prepared for some rocking. Big humpback whales come here in winter for mating games, giving birth, and nursing their young. They show themselves from the water about every half an hour. We guarantee that you will see whales, but whether it will be a tail, a hump, or a breach β depends only on the mood of the animal :)
πΉ Relaxation on Bacardi Island. Enjoy lunch in a seaside restaurant and then unwind on the beach. You can also try the best tropical cocktails and Dominican lobsters, if you wish. And don't forget to take photos with the sea stars β we will tell you how to do it without harming these amazing creatures.
β Abandoned Pier, or Bridge to Nowhere. On the way back, you will walk across bridges over the water and once again see the sea stars that are unique to the Dominican Republic β terracotta, spotted, albino.
