About this experience
On a walk through the business, historical, and cultural districts of Helsinki, I will show you the Finnish capital as rarely seen by tourists. You will stroll through the quietest streets of the city with their majestic architecture and timeless charm, and visit the city's ancient cultural sites - the library, design museum, and St. John's Church. We will also talk about modern life in Helsinki.
What to Expect
Unusual Districts of Helsinki
From the famous Esplanade Park, we will head in the direction not typically shown to city guests. Here, hidden treasures of the Finnish capital await you: you will explore the Kaartinkaupunki district, where the country's business life is concentrated and the most valuable real estate is located. Then I will show you another historical area - Ullanlinna with delightful architecture, squares, scenic waterfront, numerous art shops, and tiny boutiques. You will see the places where Finnish series are often filmed, and I will tell you what makes the non-touristic places of the capital remarkable and famous.
Attractions beyond the Esplanade
Together we will walk through quiet and majestic streets and visit Kaivopuisto Park, where from the top of the hill you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Helsinki archipelago, and on Posilipo Hill, you will see numerous mansions of ambassadors. We will talk about their history and the legends surrounding this place, as well as explore the oldest but still operating fire station in Finland. Discussing the cultural life of Helsinki, we will visit one of the most beautiful libraries in the city. Bright halls, cozy reading corners, and a special lively atmosphere attract both locals and travelers. Additionally, you will enter the neo-Gothic St. John's Church with its magnificent acoustics and lofty spires, and one of the world's oldest Design Museums - I will tell you about the unusual exhibition rarely covered in guidebooks.
