About this experience
Being in Toronto and not visiting Niagara Falls is something out of a fantasy realm. From the major Canadian and American cities, Toronto is closest to one of the most impressive places on the planet. During the car tour, you will feel how the natural element washes away the borders between countries and creates a sense of being 'out of time'; learn about the origin of the most powerful waterfall in North America; hear legends of the Iroquois; explore the entertainment world in the vicinity and taste elite Canadian 'ice wine' at the winery.
What to Expect
The Most Powerful Waterfall in North America
Niagara Falls make a much stronger impression when viewed from the Canadian side. You will learn how this landmark became one of the country's symbols, alongside maple syrup and the leaf; and how it is connected to the color of the rooms in the Parliament of Ottawa. I will tell you what the waterfall complex really is, how scientists explain its origin, and what legends were passed down in the Iroquois tribe about this place. We will also discuss how the Niagara Falls are serviced, 'dressed up', illuminated, and cared for.
Contemplation and Active Entertainment
You can choose how to spend your time at Niagara Falls. I will offer several options and accompany you throughout the day. You can sail on a catamaran to the roaring stream to better feel the power of nature. I can also arrange a half-hour helicopter tour over the falls. Don't forget to bring small coins from your country: according to an old Indian legend, the god He-No lives in a cave behind the falls and will fulfill your cherished wish in return for your gift.
Niagara is Not Just Waterfalls!
In addition to the breathtaking views, you can visit the local Las Vegas with rooms of fear, Madame Tussauds museum, dinosaur park, casino, and Ferris wheel. I will take you to a year-round Christmas ornament shop with a 200-year history. Passing through the Welland Canal, you will learn about a project for trading ships from the early 19th century. Additionally, we can include a butterfly conservatory, botanical garden, Rainbow Bridge, floral clock, Nikola Tesla hydroelectric power plant, and much more in the program...
Tasting 'Ice Wine' at the Local Winery
The warm climate of the southern province and the harsh conditions of the entire Ontario region allow for the production of so-called ice wine here. You will visit a winery in the Niagara region, learn about the specific process of producing 'ice wine', and taste the unusual elite drink. If you wish, I can reserve lunch for you at one of the region's best wineries.
