About this experience
You will walk through squares and parks, admire the unique architecture of the city. You will hear legends and historical facts, learn about festivals and literary heroes associated with these lands. Visit two pearls: Seville Cathedral - a symbol of Spain's power - and Alcazar, whose eastern arabesques will surely impress you, and the gardens will tell you its secrets with a pleasant rustle.
What to Expect
Walk around Seville (2.5-3 hours)
I will show you the two pillars on which the city stands: its historic part - the former Jewish quarter, the Golden Tower, the former tobacco factory, the Saint Telmo Palace - and the more modern one - the Ibero-American exhibition, Maria Luisa Park, and the most beautiful square in all of Spain.
We will talk about the festivals and traditions of Seville, its inhabitants, art, famous literary characters including Don Juan, Carmen, and Don Quixote.
Cathedral and Alcazar (2.5-3 hours)
After a lunch break, we will meet again to explore the largest gothic cathedral in the world and the burial place of Christopher Columbus. I will tell you how it happened that he is buried here not entirely, and you will also learn about the relics and treasures kept in the cathedral.
Then you will visit the oldest functioning royal residence in Europe - Alcazar, which means "fortified royal palace" in Arabic. You will examine the details of Mudejar architecture and learn the history of its construction.
