About this experience
Let's embark on a journey from Malaga to Seville – the beautiful capital of Andalusia! In just a couple of hours, you will visit the main sights of the city: see the immense Cathedral, the Indies Archives, and explore the royal palace Alcazar. During the tour, I will tell you about where the gypsy Carmen worked, where Columbus delivered his treasures, where witches were burned, and where scenes of 'Game of Thrones' were filmed. In the break, you will have time to enjoy a cup of coffee and feel the temperament of Seville on your own!
What to Expect
Stories and Legends of Seville
I will introduce you to the beauty of Seville, its architectural wonders, and intriguing stories. You will see the largest Gothic cathedral where Columbus is buried, visit the Indies Archives storing documents from the time of the plague epidemic, learn about the material of the 'Golden Tower', and why Pedro the Cruel imprisoned his relatives there. You will see the Hotel Alfonso XIII where Tom Cruise ate two omelets while on a diet. You will also learn about where the gypsy Carmen worked, visit the square where witches were burned in the 16th century and 'Star Wars' was filmed in the 21st.
Residence of Spanish Royals
Optionally, we can visit the Seville Alcazar – a palace in the Moorish style and the current residence of the Spanish king. You will explore the luxurious halls, admire art pieces, learn about the daily life of the royal family, and court intrigues. I will talk about the Spanish people's attitude towards monarchy, show you where 'Game of Thrones' scenes were shot, and reveal secrets of Spanish monarchs.
Alternatively, we can visit the Giralda – the world's largest Gothic cathedral.
