Temazcal Ceremony in a Mayan Village
After immersing yourself in the history of the Maya Indians, you will further acquaint yourself with their culture. You will participate in a ritual that for centuries has helped this people establish a connection with nature and maintain harmony in their world. You will witness the mysterious actions of a shaman and learn what they mean, and then enter a special room under a dome: inside, the temperature is maintained at about 50 degrees with the help of hot stones, which helps achieve a meditative state. The main goals of the Temazcal ceremony are purification and rebirth. You will feel them and briefly forget about our everyday worries. The final stage will be bathing in a cool spring.
Additionally, in the village, you will admire the beautiful cenote. The day will end with a traditional dinner.
