What to Expect
Youthful adventurers should definitely visit the Louvre, but their route should be as engaging as possible. Therefore, a tour of the Louvre is not only about admiring its masterpieces but also about creative activities.
At the beginning of our route, we will find ourselves in the dungeon, where I will show the ruins of the first medieval fortress and palace. We will learn about what a dungeon is and how menacing gargoyles appeared, and we will even walk on real suspension bridges!
Next on our path is the civilization of Ancient Egypt. The Louvre's Egyptian collection is considered the best in the world after the collection in the Cairo museum. Curious young minds will have plenty to explore here.
We will discover the contribution of the Egyptian civilization to modern culture and let our imagination run wild: we will learn to distinguish Egyptian gods - Osiris, Seth, Isis, Sekhmet - and even try to write our names using ancient hieroglyphs. And to feel like real pharaohs, we will visit an Egyptian temple and admire the sphinxes and mummies!
The next stage of the tour will be the former throne room of the royal palace, which will delight us with its rich golden decor. There, we will meet crowns of princes and princesses adorned with precious stones of all colors of the rainbow.
At the end of our tour, we will remember some Greek myths about Aphrodite, Psyche, and Cupid and learn how they are connected to the fairy tale of The Scarlet Flower. And then the famous Mona Lisa will guide the little adventurers through her mysterious smile.
During the tour, everyone will be able to feel a bit like a wizard - because only through magic can one visit the Middle Ages, Ancient Egypt, and many other interesting places in just one day!
