About this experience
A unique opportunity for parents - six hours of relaxation from their children. This excursion is only for children! For six hours, little rascals can jump, laugh, play, and enjoy (within reason).
Program
The excursion is designed as an exciting adventure where children have to overcome several challenges. Those who pass them will be initiated as Catalan Knights (boys) or Princesses of Catalonia (girls).
The number of challenges depends on prior agreement with parents.
- First challenge awaits children at Ciutadella Park. Kids will have to swim across the magical lake, greet the mammoth, and find a secret message in the wall of the Castle of the Three Dragons.
- Second challenge - Learn the language of unusual animals in Barcelona Zoo. Here, animals and birds from all over the world live. Each animal has its own habits and language. In the message that children will find at the exit of the zoo, there will be a task with the names of those animals that the kids have to imitate.
- Third challenge - Learn the technology of making chocolate at the Chocolate Museum. Those who succeed will receive a sweet prize and the key to the next challenge (fourth challenge): a map of the city, which must be used to reach Botero's Cat and stroke its whiskers. On the way, they must eat a magical meringue that gives extra strength. Reaching Botero's Cat is the fourth task.
- Fifth task - Learn three phrases in Spanish and use them to order ice cream or a dessert at a local cafe.
- Sixth task - Understand the three secrets of our world at the Science Museum (CosmoCaixa), where all exhibits can be touched by hands (this museum is recognized as the best museum for children in Europe). After that, they will have to describe the learned secrets - over lunch at a local children's cafe.
- Seventh challenge. We will go in search of treasures on Tibidabo Mountain. The path will have obstacles, but eventually our heroes will reach the amusement park on an old blue tram. The task for the kids is to overcome their fear and ride one of the attractions.
- Eighth challenge. Young adventurers will travel to the underwater kingdom (Barcelona Aquarium) to count the inhabitants and, once again, overcome fear by facing the queen of the underwater world - the shark.
These adventures will definitely appeal to your children. My three kids - aged 4, 11, and 16 - were thrilled with each of the tasks. Remember: a children's guide is not an animator! He does not entertain the children but conducts the tour in such a way that the kids will remember it as the happiest day of their lives.
