About this experience
How many times have I heard the same question from friends visiting Paris: where did the 'Three Musketeers' live? Are you curious to find out where Alexandre Dumas housed them? After all, all the streets described in the book still exist to this day! If so, join us and immerse yourself in the magical world of our favorite childhood heroes!
Program
During the walk, I will introduce you to the history of the Parisian district of Saint-Germain and its landmarks such as the Luxembourg Garden, the Senate, the Church of Saint-Sulpice, and the Chapel of Saint Joseph. You will learn how this place transformed from a remote suburb into one of the most prestigious areas of the capital. I will tell you many amusing stories about the author of the novel Alexandre Dumas and his characters.
We will stroll through the streets where our musketeer friends lived, walked, and dueled. Together, we will find ancient 17th-century houses where they could have resided. And we will walk to the riverbank opposite the Louvre, where the real-life Count of d'Artagnan, who served as the prototype for Dumas' hero, resided.
Thanks to our walk, you will learn a lot of interesting and engaging facts from the history of Paris, the life of the great writer, and his characters.
