Holy Lake, Grigoryevskoye and Semyonovskoye Gorges - group tour on off-road vehicles
About this experience
We invite you to a one-day trip to the famous gorges of Issyk-Kul - Semyonovskoye and Grigoryevskoye. The main goal of our journey will be the marvelous Holy Lake, hidden in the mountains away from the tourist crowds. You will walk, breathe the purest air, and recharge with the amazing power emanating from the local land. You will also ride horses and have dinner in a yurt.
What to expect
Semyonovskoye Gorge (Kyrchyn)
Just 40 minutes drive from Cholpon-Ata - and you will enjoy the mountain river Kichi Ak-Suu in the beautiful Kyrchyn gorge, where the World Nomad Games usually take place. After a walk through the gorge, we will cross the exciting pass (height - 3924 m above sea level) - it can only be conquered by off-road vehicles and only in dry weather. We will make a stop at a convenient location for you to photograph the impressive landscapes.
Holy Lake
The difficult road to the small mountain lake helps to keep it clean. Even in the height of the season, there are almost no tourists here, and only local shepherds graze herds of cows and yaks. The water in the Holy Lake is bright turquoise, icy and clean. Under the water, you will see firs covered with algae, among which mountain trout play. We will walk around the lake and have a picnic in the shade of the Tien Shan mountains.
Grigoryevskoye Gorge
In the Grigoryevskoye Gorge, you will be amazed by the inaccessible, but very beautiful, stone boulders. You will admire the wild nature, mountain peaks, and transparent reservoirs. The atmosphere here is amazing, the landscapes are enchanting - and fill the heart with quiet joy. After the walk, a delicious dinner awaits you in a traditional yurt. While it is being prepared, those who wish can take a short horse ride and take pictures with eagles.
Alternative options
Due to bad weather, we may not be able to drive to the Holy Lake. In this case, we will either walk there (a walk will take 40-50 minutes) or go to another lake in the Grigoryevskoye Gorge, or instead of lakes, go swimming in hot springs.
Organizational details
- Prepayment for the tour - 6 euros per person. The remaining amount - 22 euros per person will be given to the driver.
- A child up to 5 years old can ride on the lap for free. If two children occupy one seat in the car, we charge for one seat.
- Departure from Cholpon-Ata - from 8:00 to 9:00. We usually return around 18:00. However, if the group is having a good time in the yurt and does not want to leave, no one will rush you. We will leave when you are ready.
- I will conduct the tour or another guide from our team.
