About this experience
I invite you to one of the most popular places in Italy: where Sirens lured the fearless Odysseus to our shore, where Roman patricians built their villas, where the last battle of the slave leader Spartacus took place behind our mountain, where the compass and the maritime code of law were invented, which operated on the entire Mediterranean coast for several centuries, and where the relics of St. Andrew the Apostle are kept in our main cathedral. I will tell you all about this during our sea trip by canoe.
Program
- The excursion starts at the port of Amalfi.
- Sailing along the coast, you will see beautiful landscapes, often depicted by artists, pass under the 'Arch of Love,' and make a wish. We will dock at a remote beach where the famous restaurant 'Santa Croce' is located, where you will taste local white wine with peach and excellent dishes of fresh fish! Then, we will return to Amalfi.
Organizational Details
- Must be able to swim and not be afraid of waves (the sea is very calm in summer).
- You will tan instantly on the water, so wear light-colored tunic or shirt.
- Head must be covered with a hat, Panama hat, or baseball cap.
- Bring a bottle of water and a wallet for paying for lunch at the restaurant.
- Basic paddling skills are required for everyone, the main thing is the desire and confidence in your abilities. If you have never tried canoeing, you will need about 20 minutes for preparation.
- Additional expenses: lunch at the restaurant is about 20 euros per person; canoe rental is 15-20 euros for the whole day.
