About this experience
At the mention of Normandy, the heart starts to sing! You will wander through narrow medieval streets and be impressed by the Gothic cathedrals in Rouen - the capital of the region. Recall the paintings of impressionists in the fishing village of Honfleur. And in the resort towns of Trouville and Deauville, you will walk along the La Manche waterfront, admiring half-timbered houses and observing the leisurely life of the French countryside.
What to Expect
Rouen. This magnificent capital of Normandy. You will visit the Market Square, where Joan of Arc was executed in the Middle Ages. You will see the ancient Clock Tower and learn about its flaw. You will also tour the cathedral, where the heart of the English king Richard the Lionheart is kept.
Honfleur. An enchanting fishing village, celebrated by the impressionists. You will see the wooden church of Saint Catherine in the early Gothic style and the church of Saint-Etienne, which now houses the Maritime Museum. You will taste the famous local drink calvados and, if you wish, have lunch in one of the cozy restaurants.
Trouville and Deauville. Two resort towns separated by the Touques River. Parisians love to spend their weekends there. You will stroll along the La Manche waterfront, admiring the exquisite villas of the early 20th century and enjoying the sea breeze.
