What to Expect
"Black River Gorges" and the stunning nature of Mauritius
You will visit all the viewpoints of the national park, offering breathtaking views of Mauritius and its turquoise lagoons. See the island's highest peak - Rivière Noire. I will tell you about the unique flora and fauna of the park - disappearing and rare animals, as well as endemic and traditional tropical plants. Here you will be amazed by stunning waterfalls hidden in the jungles and learn the secret of the amazing Seven Colored Earth of Chamarel.
Sacred Hindu Lake
In Black River Gorges, we will visit the revered Grand Bassin reservoir located in the crater of an extinct volcano. This is a pilgrimage site for local Hindus, where you can receive a blessing from a Brahmin and admire the beautiful statues of the gods Shiva and Anuman.
Taste of Mauritius
Have you seen red pineapples? I will show you this wonder! And have you tried sugar cane and coconut juice with vanilla and chocolate? Let's taste it together! Also, for tea lovers, I will suggest visiting a tea factory and the Bois Chéri plantation. In this incredibly beautiful and cozy place, sitting on the terrace by the lake, you will taste several varieties of delicious tea, and if desired - local rum and liqueur. You will observe funny Mauritian monkeys. And of course, I will be happy to take you to lunch at a trusted establishment, where they cook Indian dishes from products grown by the hosts.
