The Kingdom of Bahrain is an island nation in the Persian Gulf. I will introduce you to Manama, its stunning capital. You will see the ancient fort, the magnificent Al-Fatih Mosque, the Tree of Life, and the World Trade Center. You will learn about the ancient Dilmun civilization and the modern life of the country.
What to expect
Manama: Past and Present
You will see all the iconic places of the city. The tour includes:
- Al-Fatih Mosque - you will visit the largest mosque in Bahrain. Admire the luxurious interior and the 60-ton fiberglass dome. I will tell you about the specifics and traditions of Islam.
- Tree of Life - a mysterious lone tree in the desert, surviving without water for 400 years. You will hear stories and legends related to it.
- Qal'at al-Bahrain Fort - an ancient fortress where you will learn about the history of Bahrain from its origins. You will also see the freshwater springs located in the Persian Gulf.
- Bahrain Gate - through these gates, guests used to enter the city in ancient times. Today, it is the main historical attraction of the country.
In addition, we will have a photo stop in front of the World Trade Center and visit the eastern market, where you can buy souvenirs, dates, and spices.
