About this experience
A sailboat ride is the perfect way to get a sea view of Lisbon. You will see the symbols of the Belem district and bright panoramas of the historic center, the 25th of April Bridge, and the famous Christ statue. And all this accompanied by Portuguese wine, the coolness of the Tagus River, and thrilling stories about the discoverers.
What to Expect
Lisbon from the best angle
From one of the docks of the Belem district, we will set sail on the waves of the Tagus River. First, you will enjoy postcard views of the Monument to the Discoveries shaped like a ship, the Belém Tower in Manueline style, and the white lacy facade of the Jerónimos Monastery. Then, with a glass of chilled wine, you will sail past iconic panoramas of Lisbon's historic center – you will see the Commerce Square ensemble, the National Pantheon, Cais do Sodré station, the recently renovated promenade, and the Electricity Museum. At the southern bank of the Tagus, we will explore the forts and prisons used in Salazar's times, admire the beauty of the red 25th of April Bridge, and the scale of the Christ statue. Get ready to take dozens of amazing and unconventional photographs and witness the most beautiful sunset over Lisbon.
Set Sail!
Looking at the city from a maritime perspective, we will be transported to the 16th century – the era when Portugal conquered the oceans. You will learn why the Portuguese became the greatest discoverers, who actually discovered Brazil, and how little Portugal became the heart of a great empire. And for those who want to immerse themselves even more in the spirit of navigation, we will show you how to set the sails on the boat and perform maneuvers.
