About this experience
On this tour, no one will be bored, as we have combined the architectural treasures of Side with the colorful attractions of Discovery Park in Antalya! First, you will take a walk through the streets of the ancient city, exploring the ancient Roman monuments, and visit the local bazaar. Then you will move to the park with dinosaur models, live lions, reptiles, and marine creatures.
What to Expect
Exploring Ancient Side
In the first part of the tour, you will discover the main attractions and rich history of Side. We will see:
- Nymphaeum Fountain – an impressive Roman legacy. Water from the mountains flowed here through a 50-kilometer aqueduct!
- Ancient Market Rows, next to which there is an observation deck overlooking the Roman theater and the Temple of Tyche.
- Main Bazaar of Side, already an Ottoman heritage. You will explore residential houses turned into shops and be transported back to 19th century Turkey.
- City Promenade with the Atatürk monument and the temple of Apollo. Here you will have time to enjoy Turkish coffee and take beautiful shots.
After that, we will leisurely stroll along the colonnaded street – the main street of Side in the 2nd century AD. Many sculptures and houses that were once located here have now moved to the Antalya Archaeological Museum.
Journey to Discovery Park!
After the city center walk, the driving part of the tour will begin – a trip to the Discovery Park of Antalya, which will delight both children and adults. You will see 40 moving, roaring dinosaur models, visit an aquarium with marine creatures and a terrarium with reptiles. In the zoo, you will observe lions, bears, monkeys, and other animals. Additionally, you can opt for rides and visit a café.
