What to Expect
Ancient Heritage of Side
The history of Side dates back to the 7th century BC. We will walk through the key moments of its biography. You will learn about the Greek, 'pirate,' and Roman periods. You will be transported to the times when the city flourished as a major trading port. And you will trace Side's path to its destruction.
Walking through the ancient streets, we will explore the ruins of the Temple of Apollo and the amphitheater with seating for 20,000. We will also investigate the 6-kilometer-long fortress walls, up to 10 meters wide, imagining how powerful a defensive barrier they served for the ancient settlement.
Manavgat Waterfall
Next, we will visit the waterfall located near the town of the same name. The main feature of this natural monument is its 'dimensions': its height is 2 meters, and its width is a whole 40 meters. By the viewing platform, you will enjoy spectacular cascades and take bright photos.
Kuleli Mosque
In conclusion, you will visit the largest mosque on the Antalya coast. You will examine the walls, floor, ceiling, and column surfaces covered with mosaics and paintings with ornaments and verses from the Quran. I will explain what sets this mosque apart from most other Muslim temples.
