About this experience
Located 140 km from Antalya, in the province of Burdur, you will visit a city founded in the 3rd century BC. What to Expect
Ancient Treasures of Kibyra
Despite being discovered almost two hundred years ago, excavations here started only in 2006. This means you will witness a unique stage of Kibyra, which is only at the beginning of its journey to tourist popularity.
You will see Roman baths, majestic columns, and a stadium where gladiatorial battles took place. Admire the intricate marble mosaic depicting the Gorgon Medusa, as well as a frieze showing ancient warriors.
Together, we will delve into the past of a city lost in the sands of time. We will discuss the peoples and civilizations that left their mark here and try to imagine life in Kibyra during its heyday when it was a major trading and cultural hub.
Salda Lake, or the Turkish Maldives
After exploring the ancient heritage, we will head to the deepest freshwater lake in Turkey. You will enjoy the wild beauty of the lake and take vibrant photos of the azure waters with white sandy beaches.
